Yeah...you can get a complete fuel system with two pumps, stainless steel lines, fuel rail, regulator, and injectors for about $2500 :-(.

"If you seen the inside of the Z tank you will notice there is hump or hill on top and a triangle shaped baffle on the bottom which narrows to less than 4 square inches. The hump creates obstruction that is why you can't mount two Z pumps near the top. There is no room. The two walbros pumps have to fit nicely in the triangle shaped baffle at the lowest point. It is pretty tight. That integra tank looks like a breeze. No hump obstruction and bigger baffles."

Yes I know all about it. Like I said I have done a few already :-). In the Integra we could not mount the pumps to the existing bracket plus the opening was too small for two pumps and lines and returns for three pumps. So we had to make the new opening and top.

"You have to consider the labor not just the parts. He had to pay his fabricator who isn't cheap."

In your post you said he was a machinest?? Why would he have to pay someone else??? Plus I would really hope that the bracket he made wasn't worth over $500 parts and labor unless he made it out of Titanium. In the picture you posted I see about $250-$300 worth of parts used including the pumps.

"When you consider what Z injectors cost compared to Supras that gets expensive too. You know the Z is not the easiest car to work on. The engine compartment is tight and the fuel tank as well."

OH...maybe I misunderstood...did the $1150 price include injectors???? If that is the case then I can see how it would be worth it.

"My friend changed his mind and refused to do another Z because it was a bitch. He wouldn't have done it anyways if I had five people."

Did you actually have any people that were willing to pay the $1150 price tag??

"You seem to go to great efforts prove how justified your prices are. Don't bag on me for what it costs to do my setup for a drop in unit."

I am not bagging on you for your setup. One off projects are very expensive. I am just stating that $1150 for 5+ people like you put in your For Sale post is extremely steep for what the people would have gotten. R&D is a bitch....I have spent thousands making things for my car that we tried and didn't like, they didn't work, or we didn't like the price point(ie: Radiator, Adjustable A-arms, etc...). That is part of running a business. There are a lot of things that are available to the general Z community thanks to people like Mike K., Tim Liess, and myself. Now you, Bryan Lewis, William, Yacoub, etc... are pushing the limits and will raise the bar even more.

"You come across as "Holier than thou" . I doubt your shop hourly rates are cheap. I guess you have the right to charge those prices and no one else."

Well I usually just call it like I see it. I saw what was involved in doing your twin pump setup and what you or your "machinest" was asking for it and I call B.S.. If that is "Holier than thou" then I guess that is what I am. Hell maybe I ought to start the Church of Speed....they get ALL the tax breaks...LOL.
